Catch up: Christmas 2011

Look at this cutie, dressed with Dan's scarf and begging for his presents.
How could we resist his charm? Dan saw this huge rawhide bone at target and had to buy it and oh boy, did Louie have fun with this treat.
He had to figure out how to maneuver his big bone around the house, which was too funny...I wanted to post a video of it, but for some reason it won't work.

Just like last year on Christmas eve, we decided to go down to the Cumberland river and enjoy the light displays they have put up there during Christmas time.

There were a lot of creative displays and lots of people came out to look at them, but Dan and I noticed that something was missing. . .

Christmas is supposed to be the celebration of Jesus Christ's birth and not one nativity scene was found. We couldn't believe it. How sad!!! I think we won't be back next year....
Since none of us had family around, our friends Cody and Amanda joined us on Christmas Day. We spent it together eating delicious food, playing games and watching movies. Good times!

We of course enjoyed Skyping with our families during the holidays, but we did miss being together with them for sure.

That is a giant dog bone, I am sure he enjoyed it for many months. The lights are neat, but that is a shame that there were not any nativities.
