Housewarming Party....

I have no idea how long you are supposed to wait after you move into a new place before you have a housewarming party, but we had ours at 2 months, and that seemed to work. It certainly is warmer around here lately. . .
This is a view of our living room all finished and filled up with people. On the chairs are Nancy and Eldon from the ward. Next to them are Becky and Jeremy Cole, also from the ward, but not our current ward. (Small world, huh). The first back you see is Ryan Mair, a buddy of Dan's from high school who now happens to live half an hour away from us. The yellow back is Dan.
We had a great party. Lots of people showed up to celebrate our new house with us, and we got some lovely plants as housewarming gifts. It was good to have our house filled with noise and laughter for a few hours. In this picture we have Emberlin Mair, Dana and Becky Cole.
It was great to have some of our new friends over, too. This is Kelly Stohl, and his son Ryan. Kelly works at LDSFS with Dan, and has become a really good friend. The party had a German theme, and here he is eating his first real German bratwurst. Yummy.
Dana spent the three days before the party cooking some of the best sauerkraut ever made. Of course, that meant that the house smelled like cabbage for a week, but it was so worth it. The brats were very very yummy (except the ones that Dan burned on the grill)
All in all it was a great time. The kids had fun playing in the yard, and in our loft on the Lovesack and the adults had a good time visiting. We think the Mair's daughter and the Stohl's son may have had some puppy-love sparks flying, even.

Here's a picture of my face, since you only got the side/back of my head! Thanks for inviting us. It's fun to have you guys here. We'll have to get together soon. Jeromy and I love to play games, too. I doubt we'd last till 3 am, though!
