Peach Days

This weekend we went up to Peach Days in Brigham City with our step sister Becky and step brother-in-law Will. (Our family is confusing, sorry.) We had a great time up there. Watched the parade, ate some funnel cake, and Will and Dan perused the car show, which was huge. Peach Days is a cool festival. Too bad other towns in Utah don't throw such a cool party. It is nice to see a city celebrate its own heritage and traditions.

After Peach Days we barely had time to catch our breath and change our clothes before we were running off to the U of U vs. Air Force game with Hans-Joerg Schwertz. It was a dissappointment in two ways: 1 - the Utes lost. 2 - there was no Air Force fly-over like they sometimes do. In addition, it was so hot that we were all sticking to the benches. The game was close for a long time, but then the Ute's offence decided to start passing to Air Force, and you just cant' win games that way.

Anyway, we left the game in the early fourth quarter because we had to go and meet the Klingonsmiths for Dana's first indoor soccer game! Lisa Klingonsmith invited her to come and play on their co-ed team, since they were in need of another woman. This is the first time Dana has played soccer in almost ten years. She was out of breath, but smiling the whole time she was playing. She made a few really good plays, including the only successful header in the whole game. Five more games to go in the season. By season's end, Dana will be better than Pele!

It was a great day, but a long one. By the time we got home in the evening we were both exhausted.
