Ouch....

So yeah, I am a social worker. Not exactly a manly, beefy, testosterone driven job. However, on rare occasions, I do get to throw down at work. Such was the case from yesterday, as the gnarly wound on my head will attest.

We had a client at work who had a history of violent behavior when he gets angry. And we also had some unpleasant news to give to this client. Add those two things together, and it became apparent to everyone that he might get violent when he hears the news. So, before he was given the news, I took up a position close to where he was sitting and waited to see what happened.

Well, client gets the news, gets progressively angrier, and violently pushes a table at the news-givers, and reaches around for a chair to either throw or swing at someone. Well, this was my cue, so I and three other staff guys promptly rushed in and restrained him. And, somewhere in the tussle, I must have scraped my head on something, which led to the scratch you see here.

It is nothing serious, obviously, but it may have just helped me get a little more street-cred with my coworkers. Of course, it also somehow led them to start calling me Princess, but I guess it balances out in the end.

Well how they came to "princess", I don't know...

It's more like your Harry Potter scar!

I agree with the Harry Potter look-a-like. You could really play that one up...

Are you pouting in that picture? Maybe that's why they are calling you princess...

Just kidding! Way to sport that head-wound, not trying to cover it up with a bandaid or something sissy like that. ;)
