We went camping....

This last weekend was the annual Ward Camp-out for the 7 Hills Ward, and the first time that we were able to participate with the ward. We were only able to join the ward for Friday night and Saturday morning, but we still had a great time.
It was also Louie's first camping trip. We were nervous about how he would behave in such a foreign environment, but he was great the whole time. As soon as we showed up, Louie had a gaggle of little fans - all the kids in the ward followed him around like he was a rock star. Of course, he has always been great with kids, but you could tell that he was getting a little exhausted and tired of all of the love by the end of the day.

On Saturday we went fishing with two of our good friend families. We wanted to fish in a lake nearby, but the whole thing had been rented out. So we went fishing in a little stream instead. It was a lot of fun, and Louie hopped right into the water.

And then right back out again. The game is always the same. He is happy to jump in, then he panics and tries to get right out again.

This is Dana with two of our friends from the ward, Jami and Tammy, at the fishing hole. It was great to spend some good time with them and get to know them better.

This little munchkin is Lilly, Tammy's youngest daughter. She is also Louie's best friend in the whole world. Whenever Lilly and Louie are together, they both play themselves to exhaustion, and then both sleep really well. It is a great system, both for us and for Tammy's family.

lily and louie's relationship does come with marvelous benefits. she slept like a rock on the way down the mountain! and i'm sure that the late night campfire and waking up with the sun had nothing to do with it. it was all louie
