My trip to Houston...

This is me about a week ago in a big classroom at PCCA in Houston. I was sent there for a compounding training by my work. Luckily, I missed hurricane Ike, but I still saw some of the damage and a 3rd of the city was still without power when I was there.

I had training from about 8 am to 6 pm every day for 4 days, but it was hard for me to focus and listen for so long since I haven't been in school for 10 years.

It was great to get my hands dirty in their awesome lab, which you can see in the picture above. I made so many things, like lollipops, tablets, suppositories, troches, gels and creams....

On one of the nights I was lucky enough to spend some time with Callie and Andrew and their 2 cute sons. They have been great friends to us for many years and it was so good to see them and catch up with them. We went to a nice restaurant and I had an authentic Tex-Mex dish(which by the way was huge!) I really enjoyed spending time with them, even if it was only for a couple hours. Thanks, Callie and Andrew for making time to see me and show me the "traffic-life" of Houston. Miss you!
This part I really enjoyed as you can tell from the picture. Our training center told us that we had a shuttle available to take us to a mall or restaurants from our hotel and one night I decided to go and do some shopping. I asked for the shuttle and this is what I got.....
... a limousine. It was great!!!! I have never been in a limousine before and now I was driving in one to get to a mall ?! After I got out and people were staring at me, I almost felt like a celebrity. =)

I had a great time in Houston and I learned a lot at my training, but it was really hard for me to be away from Dan. I was so glad to see him when he picked me up from the airport.
Unfortunately, I caught a bad cold in Houston and have been sick for almost a week now. =(

This is awesome! Not you getting sick, that sucks... but your trip, the limo, seeing the Haynes ~ that is all awesome.

I wish I could have seen your face when you were waiting for the "shuttle" to pick you up and realized the limo was for you!

This is Aaron. That really is awesome. Free trip, Mexican food and a limousine. Sounds like you're living large.
