Oh no....

When we moved out here in March I had big plans with gardening. But we had so many things to do first, that I didn't get to do any gardening other than rose bushes and various flowers. One day we were at Home-Depot when I saw a tomato plant. I had to buy it and it was doing so good. It had 12 tomatoes growing at one time. I was so proud of my little plant.
Last week we had one of many thunderstorms and this time I was too late in taking my plant out of the dangerous zone and this is what I found when I opened my front door....all but 2 of my tomatoes were laying on the ground.
Since my Dad told me that they would still ripen in a dark dry place, I still got to enjoy the "fruits of my labor" a couple days later. Delicious!!!

Lecker!!!!!

I'm glad they ended up being okay! Even green they look pretty. Out here in the south, we would have breaded & fried them up. Had us some fried green tomatoes!

How sad to see all your hard work fall off. But at least you still got to eat them!
